We are an independent Folk/Soft Rock band from Ontario, Canada. We wrote, recorded, and released our music without label backing — submitting to curators, building playlists one follow at a time, and learning the hard way how broken the submission economy is for independent artists.
SubmitMusic.ca grew out of that frustration. We built the platform we always wished existed — transparent, fair, and completely free. We also support Kids Help Phone, Autism Ontario, and local food banks through our music and platform revenue.
Every independent artist deserves to be heard without having to pay for the privilege. SubmitMusic.ca exists to make that happen — one playlist, one rotation, one artist at a time. We believe in radical transparency (you always know where you stand), genuine fairness (every artist moves up the queue every single day), and community over commerce.
SubmitMusic.ca runs on Spotify's infrastructure. Our playlists live on Spotify — real playlists with real followers. Submissions are matched using a fit score algorithm that weighs genre overlap and language compatibility. The daily rotation at 9am Eastern ensures every artist in the queue gets their turn, no matter how small or new they are.
